Middle (working) Class: Mostly farmers (farmtech overseers), overpaid. Sort of leisure culture (clubbing, but peaceful-like). Lots of trance music and drugs.

Upper class: Higher pay, more refined as individuals. Inventors, accomadation in the disc (see geography). Seen occasionally in the city. Clever, due to selection process (see note). Highly regarded by middle class.

Note on Middle/Upper classes: Although you tend to marry within your class, offspring are always of middle class pay/housing, unless of course they are selected for 'promotion' like any middle class citizen.

Lower Class: Not very many left, mostly beggars though a few are manual contruction workers or part of the dying fishing industry. No possesions, sit out in rain, soup kitchens. One of our main characters is a beggar, or a "downspout" as they are often called (humourously) due to the methods they have developped for sitting in the rain without getting too wet.
